Doesn't the money from the Florida Lottery fund schools?

The Florida Lottery provides a tiny portion of Duval’s operating budget.  It would operate schools for less than one day.  Lottery dollars are not allowed to be used on school building maintenance or construction. The state mandates where it goes, mostly to Bright Futures scholarships and higher education.
